How do I book online & search for availability?
Online booking allows our guests to book 24/7, year-round. We get some questions from time to time, mostly from guests trying to search for availability in specific cottages.
 
Here’s a step by step approach to booking online:
 
Step 1 – Visit www.cavendishbosombuddies.com and select the BOOK NOW BUTTON. Identify the dates you are looking for.
 
Step 2 – If you are looking for dates in July or August. We suggest that you select the availability link and scroll over the monthly calendar to see what unit types are available on your preferred dates and what restrictions apply (2, 3 or 4 night minimums apply depending on the unit type).
 
Step 3 – Select your preferred dates. The system will identify the room types that are available on those dates. Select your preferred unit and proceed with booking. Please note there are night minimums for all units during the months of July and August. If you are requesting two nights and a 3 night minimum is in effect, it will show up as unavailable unless we happen to have a 1 or 2 night opening by chance.

What are of the hours of operation of the front office?

Our front office hours are from 9:00am until 6:00pm (July & August). Hours of operation in the off-season are 9:00am – 5:00pm. If you will be arriving after 6:00pm please contact us at 1-800-363-3449 or stay@cavendishbosombuddies.com to arrange a later check-in.

Where is Cavendish Bosom Buddies located?

We are located in the heart of the Cavendish Resort Area at 84 MacCoubrey Lane off Route 6. We are just minutes driving distance away from Cavendish National Park, Canada’s top golf courses, Anne of Green Gables House, Shining Waters Family Fun Park, Sandspit, restaurants and shopping. Our cottages are located on top of a hill with a panoramic view of the ocean.

Can I walk to the beach?

Yes! We are a 15-20 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive into the Cavendish National Park. National Park.

Do you allow pets?

We love pets and understand a family vacation includes your pet! Pets are welcome but we do ask you to follow our pet-friendly policies. There will be an additional $20 cleaning fee charged per pet, per day. We ask pets not to be left unattended in a cottage or barking which causes disturbances to other guests. We also ask that pets are leashed at all times on the grounds and if left in your unit while you are gone, please utilize your kennel. It is also expected that you clean up after your pet. Please do not allow pets on the furniture.

What are your check in and check out times

Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is 10 am. If you would be arriving outside those times, please contact our office via email: stay@cavendishbosombuddies.com or Phone: 1-800-363-3449.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Cash and e-transfers. Please note that Final Payment is due in full at time of check-in.

What is the deposit required to book?

To confirm your reservation with us, we do require a deposit at the time of booking. A $200.00 deposit is required for our Open Concept Suite, One-bedroom Deluxe Cottage, and Two-bedroom Deluxe Cottage. A $300.00 deposit is required at time of booking for our Three-bedroom Executive Cottage and Four-bedroom Executive Cottage. *Please review our cancellation policy at time of booking.

What is your noise/damage policy?

We ask our guests to be respectful of their neighbours. Excessive noise is not tolerated and if we receive any complaints from other guests, a warning will be given. If excessive noise continues and a second warning is given, a disturbance fee may be applied to your credit card. The same policy is in place if the cottage has incurred any damage during your stay with us and a damage fee will be applied to your credit card. No stag or stagette parties accepted. Please respect quiet times from 11pm to 8am.

What are the dates of operation?

We operate from May – October.

Where can I watch the sunset?

Prince Edward Island has beautiful sunsets which you can view from your cottage deck or walk down to the beach.

What is the tax rate on PEI?

Prince Edward Island has a harmonized sales tax of 15%.

What will the weather be like?

Spring is comfortable. Late May and early June are alive with colour and temperatures usually range from 8 to 22°C (46 to 71°F). Summer is hot, but rarely humid. We wear short sleeves. Daytime temperatures are usually in the 20s (70s) and can go as high as 32°C (90°F). Autumn is clear and bright. September afternoons can be quite warm, evenings cool. Temperatures range from 8 to 22°C (46 to 71°F). Winter is crisp and clean. Temperatures usually range from -3 to -11°C (26 to 11°F).

What amenities do the cottages have?

Garbage & Bottle Service is provided daily. We ask that you leave garbage in your outside bins and have bottles on your deck ready for pick up by 11:00am daily

Clean towels are available daily for exchange at the main office. Drop by and pick up fresh towels and any supplies you need.

Is there wireless internet on site?

Yes, wireless internet access is accessible in all Suites Cottages at no extra charge.

Do you allow tents or trailers to be set up beside our cottage?

Cavendish Bosom Buddies and PEI Dream Cottages do not allow tents or trailers to be parked overnight on the rental properties. Please note there are 4 great campgrounds close by. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this policy. This policy will be enforced by the Cavendish Resort Municipality.

Are the cottages non smoking?

We are a smoke free establishment.

How can I get here?

There are a number of car rental services, some available at the Charlottetown Airport, to rent a car for your vacation. Taxi service is also available from the Charlottetown Airport to Cavendish Bosom Buddies. Fare is approximately $60. A car is highly recommended.

What is the driving distance from the Charlottetown Airport (YYG)?

We are a short, 40 minute drive from the Charlottetown Airport.

What do we need to bring with us?

Everything is provided for you during your stay with us. We recommend you take beach towels for the beach and pool and lawn chairs for the fire pit.

Where is the closest Liquor Store?

There is a small private Liquor Store located at the Cavendish Tourist Mart (5 minute drive). A full service liquor store is located in North Rustico (10 minute drive).

Where is the closest Grocery Store?

Cavendish Tourist Mart offers convenience grocery shopping (5 minute drive). There is also a grocery store located in North Rustico (10 minute drive).

What is the cancellation policy for Cavendish Bosom Buddies?
Upon making a reservation a deposit with a valid Visa, Mastercard or e-transfer is required for confirmation (please note that we do not accept visa debit). Deposits are $200 for our suites, one-bedroom and two-bedroom cottages. $300 for the three-bedroom and the 4-bedroom cottage. If you do need to cancel your reservation with us, we kindly ask that you forward your request in writing by email to stay@cavendishbosombuddies.com.

  • Cancellations received 30 days prior to the arrival date, deposits will be returned in full, with the exception of a $12.00 credit card processing fee. 
  • Cancellations received 15-30 days prior to your arrival date, the full deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancellations received 8-14 days prior to arrival 50% of the total reservation shall apply.
  • Less than 7 days 100% of the total reservation shall apply.
  • Shortened Stay – should you reserve for a certain number of days and leave before your departure date, you will be charged one night or 50% of the remaining balance, whichever is greater.

*Failure to cancel the reservation may result in the balance of the stay being charged if the cottage remains vacant for the period being held for you.

Unfortunately there are no exceptions to these policies except when travel restrictions are imposed.

Are Pack and Plays and highchairs available?

Yes, we offer these at no additional charge. It is recommended you request items at time of booking. These items are subject to limited availability.

How do I cancel my reservation?

As a courtesy if you can’t make your reservation and it’s less than 30 days prior to arrival you still need to contact us to cancel or unfortunately, you will be responsible for the entire stay. If you do need to cancel your reservation with us, we kindly ask that you forward your request in writing by email to stay@cavendishbosombuddies.com.

Is Visa Debit accepted?

Please take note that Visa Debit is not accepted as a form of authorization at the resort. It can be used as a form of payment upon check-in but we will require a valid credit card to complete the reservation.

PEI Dream Cottages

Where are you located?

Our property is located in North Rustico.

Is there a beach or pool?

North Rustico is a short walk to the PEI National Park. PEI Dream guests may use the pool at Bosom Buddies, office check-in required.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be received by May 1. If you cancel outside of our cancellation policy and we can rent the private summer home during those dates, we will refund your deposit minus a $75 admin fee.

You may wonder why we have this policy and it is not similar to that of a hotel? Cottage bookings are very different. By holding the cottage for you for months or even weeks in advance, we have turned down many opportunities for bookings. Unlike a hotel, cottages are booked in advance for the most part and when you cancel it is often very difficult for us to rebook the cottage.

To protect you against unforeseen circumstances we highly recommend vacation rental cancellation insurance. No one plans for unforeseen circumstances so this is the best way to ensure peace of mind when the unexpected happens.

Do you allow pets?

What can I expect upon arrival?

Prior to your arrival, we will email you a key code to gain access into your private summer home. Upon arrival to your private summer home you will be set up with all of the amenities of home including cooking utensils, linens and towels, BBQ, outdoor lobster cooker and washer/dryer.

What are your check in and check out times?

Check in is typically 4:00pm on the day of arrival however please call us in advance and if your rental is available earlier, we will be happy to check you in early. Check out is at 10:00am on the day of departure. Late departures are only provided based on availability and number of check-ins.

There are a number of restaurants and a grocery store within 5 minutes of the house. We recommend bringing your own lawn chairs and beach towels.

Is there a charge for using the fast charging stations?

Yes, there is a cost associated with using the charging stations. The stations have their own payment methods and accept most major credit cards.

Can I reserve a charging station in advance?

Unfortunately, we do not accept bookings for our charging stations. They are available on a first come, first served basis. However, we kindly ask our guests to not leave their cars parked and blocking the charging station once they have finished charging, so that others can also make use of the station.
